Bo Phut Fisherman’s Village is the best stretch of restaurants and bars on Koh Samui. That’s not sentiment — it’s just what happens when a street full of old Chinese shophouses gets taken over by people who actually care about food.
When to go
Any evening works but Friday Night Walking Street is the best version of it. Starts around 5pm, runs until 10–11pm. Street food stalls, craft vendors, live music, local produce. Walk the entire strip before you commit to anything — the food at the end of the street is as good as the food at the start.
What to eat
The pad thai from the open-air stalls at ฿80. The fresh mango sticky rice from the cart near the temple end. Coco Tam’s for drinks — fire show runs at 6PM and 9PM, worth seeing once.
Before dinner
If you’re starting your evening from the Bangrak direction, Brewed Awakening is on your route. We’re at the Green Plaza Hotel, Monday to Saturday from 7am. Coffee, croissants, the apple pie. Good start to any Samui day.
